March 24, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Preschool Story-time every Friday at 11:00
Preschool Story-time is a fun early literacy program for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers. Siblings are welcome!
Join us for an hour of interactive stories, songs, rhymes, and crafts. The early literacy practices featured each week help build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
For parents and caregivers, Story-time offers an opportunity to experience early literacy practices in action, to discover great books, music, and to socialize with other parents after Story-time

March 24, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Marathon Branch, Monroe County Public Library
The Marathon Library just turned 55, and the staff would like to celebrate the branch’s success and kick off a new era by inviting the community to a party. In 1962, the Marathon Branch started from humble beginnings in a small room at the rear of San Pablo Catholic Church. Now, in 2017, county officials are planning the design of a sophisticated two-floor facility and cultural center. At the gathering, locals can speak to staff members about the new building, see displays of historical photos of the library, enjoy light refreshments, and take in a performance by Marathon's own John Bartus on the outdoor stage in the garden. The event starts at 6:30 p.m.; the music starts at 7 p.m.
