Monroe County’s Public Information Office launched a new “Flickr” website for public and media use of Monroe County government-related photographs at www.flickr.com/photos/monroecountybocc.

The site has more than 800 images, with new pictures being added weekly. The photos feature a wide variety of subject matter, including the Board of County Commissioners; County staff; County buildings, parks, boat ramps, beaches, museums and historic sites; County projects; community events; Hurricane Irma photos; and more.

Flickr is a photo management website and sharing application used for organizing photos and video. Monroe County’s Flickr site has photos arranged in albums for easy searching of high-resolution pictures. All photos can be downloaded and used in publications and internet sites – with photo attribution to Monroe County. Videos will also be added to the site.

The Monroe County Public Information Office also welcomes submissions of archival photos of County government buildings, officials, staff, etc. Please send digital submissions to clark-cammy@monroecounty-fl.gov and include a short caption about the photo, date it was taken (approximate if not known) and name of person who took the photo.

Other Monroe County social media platforms include www.fb.com/monroecountyflbocc, www.twitter.com/monroecounty and www.instagram.com/monroecountybocc.
