KEY LARGO, FL – On March 21, 2018, beginning at approximately 10:00 A.M., the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners will hold a discussion and set the new toll rate for the Card Sound toll, to be effective when the All Electronic Tolling System begins operations on June 2, 2018.
The meeting is at the Murray Nelson Government Center, 102050 Overseas Highway, Key Largo, Florida, in the Commission Chambers.
The old tollbooth, in which attendants collected cash tolls by hand, was demolished in December to make way for the new electronic system.
When the new rate is decided, there will continue to be discount programs, likely in the form of an annual pass and a monthly rebate program.
The new toll will accept SunPassâ or drivers will receive a bill in the mail by TOLL-BY-PLATE. Cash is not accepted.
Any interested party is invited to attend and comment. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE MARCH 21, 2018, BOCC MEETING BEGINS AT 9:00 A.M. Anyone wishing to address the BOCC on the Card Sound Toll Rate must complete a blue public speaker card PRIOR to the 10:00 A.M. time slot allotted for the matter.
