Below you will find information that might help you understand how to find things or learn about information you might need to know about your city or town.

  • Complete and attach a Change of Contractor form and attach it to the permit. A staff member will receive notification and update the permit.

  • Currently, we accept IdenTrust, GlobalSign, Entrust, and DigiCert. If you have another with a NIST level of three or higher, please contact Assistant Building Official Rey Ortiz at Ortiz-Reynaldo@MonroeCounty-FL.Gov for consideration.

  • On Step 4, if you are applying as the Contractor or an Agent for a Contractor, you will select the toggle (it will turn blue) and then click "Add Contractor."  When adding a contractor, you can enter either the business name, owner name (qualifier), or license number (Monroe County Contractor ID).

  • On the home page click on the Applications icon. Information provided includes Application Type and ID (permit#), Status, Property Address, Description of work, Applicant Name, and Total Fees. You may view active permits here including Payment Pending, Pending, Plan Review, ROGO, Ready to Issue, Notice of Commencement, and Inspections statuses. You may search by date ranges – to obtain all applications choose “Show all data”. You may also search for statuses including the aforementioned and Expired, Void, Completed, and Withdrawn by toggling “Show All Statuses” to the right.

  • No, attachments may only be added either during the application process or after a review cycle has been completed.

  • If the review process has not started, you may remove attachments by going to Permit Information – Attachments, then Actions (clicking the three dots to the right of the attachment), and then selecting Delete. If the review process has started, changes cannot be made.

  • Conditions may be placed on an application or issued permit.  These conditions could be a document or an action required during the permitting process or during inspections. To view Conditions, first, access your application or issued permit; on the left-hand side, select Permit Information, scroll down, and select Conditions.

    To review details of Conditions, select the arrow (>) all the way to the right of each Condition.

    The Condition Details will show the Condition Name, Condition Rules, and Description.
