Next up for our July Cinematheque series on Wednesday, July 12, at 6 p.m.: the edgy, insightful antiwar statement "Three Kings" (1999). The story contains kinetic, hypnotic filmmaking by director David O. Russell and follows four American soldiers who set out to steal gold from one of Saddam's bunkers in the aftermath of Desert Storm. Starring George Clooney, Ice Cube and Mark Wahlberg, this selection fits well into our theme of the month, "High Style." It will be shown on the large screen in the community room. Don't forget: Free popcorn! Join us!
