The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Monroe County are holding two public meetings for the Florida Keys Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study next week: September 11, 2019 5-7pm Key Largo BOCC room Murray Government Center 102050 Overseas Highway Key Largo September 12, 2019 5-7 pm Key West Commission Room Harvey Government Center 1200 Truman Avenue Key West The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public with an opportunity to learn more about the project alternatives and provide comments on the alternatives and the feasibility study. The format of the meeting will be an informal open-house hosted by Monroe County, where the public can attend any time during the meeting hours and staff from the USACE and Monroe County will be available to answer questions. The USACE plans to prepare an Environmental Assessment to evaluate environmental impacts from reasonable project alternatives and to determine the potential for significant impacts.
