Ms. Ana Walter is an Assistant County Attorney who represents the Parks & Recreation Department, Libraries, and Animal Control. She graduated from Florida International University’s College of Law in 2015 and obtained her LL.M. in Estate Planning from the University of Miami in 2018 after completing an Equal Justice Works/AmeriCorps public service fellowship. While in law school, Ana – previously known as Ms. Perez (Maiden Name) was a member in the Environmental Law Society and the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Society. She also interned with the United States Bankruptcy Court.
Immediately prior to joining the Monroe County Attorney’s Office, Ms. Walter served for several years as a prosecutor in the 16th Judicial Circuit. She has helped to resolve thousands of cases and successfully tried many cases as lead counsel both as a private practitioner in Miami-Dade County and government practitioner in Monroe County.
